Report is a Utility command in Dank Memer that allows you to report a user or server for breaking bot rules to Dank Memer administrators. Users on the receiving end of a ban also have an appeal system where they can appeal their ban.

Reporting users[]
When a user breaks Dank Memer's bot rules, one has the option to report them using the /report user <user> command.
There are several different ways to report someone.
- If the person you wish to report is in the same server as you, you can replace the <user> syntax with their username: this does ping the person you wish to report, and the message is ephemeral (only you can see it).
- You can also find a "Report" button at the bottom of their profile. You can view their profile by inserting their username or user ID in the user syntax of /profile <user>.
- If you do not share a server with said user, you can replace the <user> syntax with their Discord ID. In order to grab one's Discord ID, you would go to: User Settings > Advanced (under App Settings) > Developer Mode (enable this). As long as Developer Mode is enabled, you can copy a User ID by right-clicking a user's profile page and locating "Copy User ID".
If you wish to add images to your report (which is highly recommended), one would upload screenshots to a website like Imgur, and attach links to said screenshots in the report description.
When a report is submitted, a bot admin will review the report and decide whether it's valid or not. Valid reports will receive a direct message in Dank Memer's DMs saying:
Thank You!
A report you have sent was confirmed and dealt with, thanks for keeping the game
safe!
{insert date here} {insert time here}
If one sends an invalid report, they will not receive a message.
Reporting servers[]
Unlike reporting users, people can only report servers through their ID. To grab a server ID, one should follow the instructions to grab a user ID above. Right-click a server and navigate to "Copy Server ID" to grab the respective server's ID.
Insert the ID in the <server> syntax of /report server <server> to report said server.
Appeal system[]
Users who have been banned from using currency commands due to violating Dank Memer's rules are able to appeal their bot ban once, in which they can write a message detailing why their bot ban should be appealed. They can also attach images through Imgur links. Do note, banned users can only appeal once per ban, so it is advised not to waste it.
All appeals are read within 2 weeks. Dank Memer will DM you if your appeal has been accepted or rejected.
If you want to be unbanned, avoid lying and making excuses as to why you broke the bot rules in the first place.
Banned users can still use non-currency commands.
Moderators and other people cannot see this type of data on the bot and they can't tell you why you were banned.
