Pets is a currency command in Dank Memer. It consists of sub-commands that allow you to buy a pet, take care of your pets, and interact with your pets.
Overview[]
You can get a pet by choosing and purchasing one through the command /pets buy. Do note that there are pets that can't be purchased with coins.
After purchasing a pet, you are required to take care of your pet by feeding, washing, and playing with it - in order to prevent it from feeling neglected and losing levels - using the command /pets care. This can be temporarily avoided as a part of /vacation command for a fee, using the spooky mask item or by using a Streak Freeze.
You can also rename, train, prestige or disown your pet using /pets view, and, if you have more than one pet, you can choose your main pet (your main pet is the one which takes part in pet fights and acts in case of robbery).
You can have up to 50 pets, with the first 5 slots being available for free, and 45 more slots available to purchase from the /advancements upgrades command.
If you use the /search command often, there is a small chance of you finding a lost pet someone didn't care for and you have the option to take the pet in.
There is also a small chance of your pet giving birth to a pet of the same kind, which is another way you can get pets for free.

Do note that once you disown one of these pets, you must either re-complete the quests to obtain it again (Alien, Dragon, T-Rex) or use another Shooting Star (Capybara).
Caring for your pet[]
Taking care of your pet can be done using the command /pets care. It will prompt you with six actions to perform, which are:
- Feed, Wash, Play
- Hug, Fetch, Walk
Users will have to feed, wash, and play with their pets regularly to prevent them from running away. This will boost respective statistics. Actions like feeding will boost the "Hunger" stat, Wash will boost the "Hygiene" stat, and Play will boost the "Fun" stat. While most of these actions are free, feeding your pet costs a small amount of coins.
The other actions are hugging, fetching, and walking. Fetching and walking have 6 hours of cooldown before you can use them again, while you can Hug your pet as often as you want - unless it is asleep.
Your pet can feel neglected and lose levels if you don't pay enough attention to their love stat, which is dependent on the levels of Hunger, Hygiene and Fun stats.
The pet will level up after a while, and give you 1 point that you can use to increase one of its traits such as attack, defense (fighting off robbers), sustainability (decreased stat depletion speed) and hunting (finding items). (See "Trait Purposes" section below)
Stats[]
Energy[]
The "Energy" bar depletes over time and cannot be increased - it simply shows when your pet will go to sleep. It is instantly set to 0 when using the "walk" action. When they run out of Energy, pets take 30 minutes to sleep. During this time, player cannot interact with them in any way. Afterwards, their Energy bar is set to maximum.
Hunger[]
Hunger is a statistic that depletes over time and can be increased by feeding one's pet. You can feed your pet either using a Pet Food, or by paying with coins.
The cost of feeding the pet using coins is always 1,000. Feeding with coins increases the "hunger" stat by a random amount of between 20% and 30%. Feeding your pet with pet food fills the hunger bar instantly, and gives your pet 6x more XP, compared to feeding it using coins.
Hygiene[]
Hygiene is a statistic that depletes over time and can be increased by washing one's pet.
Washing user's pet once increases the Hygiene statistic by a random amount between 20% and 30%.
Washing used to cost coins, but this was changed a while ago.
Fun[]
Fun is a statistic that depletes over time and can be increased by playing with one's pet.
While playing with your pet, you will have to complete a minigame, which can be one of the following:
- Memorizing and guessing an emoji correctly.
- Memorizing and guessing which color a certain word (based on your pet and its characteristics) was matched with.
- Repeating five words (based on your pet and its characteristics) in the correct order.
- Scoring the right goal. In this minigame, there will be 3 goals, and a goalie will be in one of them. Note that the goalie will switch goals quickly. To win the minigame, you have to score in one of the 2 goals that the goalie is not goalkeeping.
- Dunking in the right basket. In this minigame, there will be 3 baskets, and a basketball will alternate around them. Note that the basketball will switch baskets quickly, similar to the goal minigame. To win the minigame, you have to dunk in the goal that the basketball is lined up with.
If you are successful, the "Fun" stat will automatically fill up to 100%. If you fail the minigame, the "Fun" stat will only increase by 25%. If you want to fill up the stat more, you will have to play with your pet again. The minigame you get is randomized, so you may have to play one of the other 4 minigames, or the same one.
You will also have to complete one of these minigames when working.
Playing used to cost coins, but this was changed a while ago.
Love[]
Love is the average of the "Hunger", "Hygiene" and "Fun" stats. This means, that it can be increased by feeding, washing, or playing with one's pet. It cannot be increased by hugging, even though you will get a positive response from the bot.
The love stat can reach 0% when the aforementioned three stats all reach 0%. When that happens, the pet will lose a level every day, until it is taken care of again or reaches level 0.
Experience[]
When interacting with a pet through feeding, washing, playing, fetching or walking, the latter will gain experience, which will occasionally lead to the pet leveling up. Leveling up gives the user 1 training points per level up, which can be used to increase the pet's traits.
Viewing your pet[]
You're able to rename, train, prestige or disown your pet by using the command /pets view.
Do note that the actions that you do will affect the pet that is currently chosen in the dropdown menu, and won't affect any other pets that you might have.
Training[]
The user can see their pet's training statistics by clicking the "train" button. There are two '+' and '-' buttons used to increase and decrease each stat by 1 or 5. After decreasing, removed point can be carried over to other stats. There must be, respectively, at least 1 and 5 points left to spend to increase a stat by 1 and 5. You can decrease by 5 even if you do not have 5 points assigned to that particular stat and it will just remove the amount of points you currently have.
Every pet receives 5 training points at the beginning, and then next 1 point for every level gained, until it reaches a maximum of 35 points. When a pet has 35 training points already, it will still level up, but won't gain any more points. When a pet has 35 training points already, it will still level up, but won't gain any more points.
Training points can be spread out across any of the four categories. You can assign up to 15 points to Attack and Defense stats and up to 10 to Sustainability and Hunting.
Trait purposes[]
Below is a table detailing what each trait does.
Training statistic | Purpose |
---|---|
Attack | Raises the effectiveness of the pet's attacks. When assigned 8 points or more, it'll be able to kill people. This ability stops an eventual robbery and kills the person who tried robbing the owner of the pet. |
Defense | Defends against potential robbers. The higher this stat is, the more likely it is that the pet will catch stealers and send them to the hospital, where they will have to pay hospital fees. |
Hunting | Occasionally, a pet may find an item and give it to its owner. Raising this stat makes this more likely, and increases the rarity of found items. They can find items 1-3 times in approximately 3–5 days. This also enables a pet to find items when playing fetch. |
Sustainability | Improves a pet's ability to self-sustain itself without its owner needing to constantly take care of it. This ability slows the drainage of the pet's statistics. |
The items a pet could potentially hunt are:
- ⏣ 1000-10000
- Alcohol
- Apple
- Bait Box (Very Rarely)
- Bank Note
- Fake ID
- Garbage
- Landmine
- Life Saver
- Lucky Horseshoe
- Meme Box
- Normie Box
- Padlock
- Pet Feces
- Pet Food
Lower value items, like Pet Feces and Padlocks are brought to the owner when the Hunting stat is low. When maxed out, pets will hunt for higher value items like Life Savers and Meme Boxes.
